These pieces are the result of a long process. As in any creative activity, the dialog between the material, the technique and the artisan takes shape progressively and keeps evolving. Every one of these elements imposes limits on the one hand and opens up possibilities on the other. What interested me in this work are the qualities of porcelain, in particular the possibility to transform this opaque material into something transparent. I have explored oval and hexagonal forms that one encounters in nature, and it is precisely the characteristics of porcelain that permitted me to play with these structures. The result of this entire process are pieces with a certain dynamism in which light reveals and hides structures.
