Congratulations to Patrícia, a Bórax08001’s member, for having won the New Traditional Jewellery Award in the Student Category. This year’s selected theme was New Nomads and the winning piece is entitled Reflections on Landscape 3. Statement
We have always been related to space.
The places were we walked through were the places were the human evolution won wings.
They are crossing places.
Places of relection, which were shaped by human hand.
Walking, moving, displacing and generating movements.
Being nomad means not only move or being displaced, but also finding a place to rest, like a rhythm.
Walking and stop.
It might be connected to our rhythm. Since always there were moments of reflection and development.
I believe my jewellery is about this rhythm, this timeless rhythm, where the past belongs to the future and the future to the past.
The old and the new became the expression of my imaginary. They are my luggage. The tools that enrich my perception.
